The UK’s Best Athletes Come Together for a World-Class NTC Poomsae Easter Camp

Today marked a truly unforgettable moment in the history of National Taekwondo Club, as we hosted one of the most anticipated Poomsae seminars of the year.

Under one roof, athletes from across the UK came together to train with two of the world’s best: Master Joel Van der Weide and Master Ana Zulema Ibanez. The energy, the talent, and the passion in the room created an atmosphere unlike anything we’ve experienced before.

From the moment the first session began, the dojang buzzed with excitement. Mixed-grade and para athletes started the day with dynamic drills that pushed their technical ability and sharpened their focus. Master Joel’s precision and intensity combined perfectly with Master Ana’s deep technical knowledge and inspiring coaching style. Every student no matter their grade—walked away with new insights and improved confidence.

As the day continued, our advanced athletes were treated to high-level sessions designed to challenge, refine, and elevate their Poomsae performance. The attention to detail was exceptional. From stances and transitions to rhythm, power, and expression, the world-class instruction left everyone motivated and eager to keep improving.

But it wasn’t just the training that made today special it was the atmosphere. Athletes cheered each other on, shared experiences, and connected over their shared passion for Taekwondo. The sense of community was strong, and the respect shown to our visiting masters was a true reflection of what makes our club and our athletes outstanding.

Today wasn’t just a seminar. It was a celebration of excellence, dedication, and the unifying spirit of Taekwondo. We are incredibly proud of everyone who attended and grateful to Masters Joel Van der Weide and Ana Zulema Ibanez for delivering a day of inspiration and world-class instruction.

Thank you to all athletes, parents, and supporters for helping make the event a huge success. We look forward to seeing the improvements on the mats in the weeks to come and to hosting many more elite-level events in the future.

We were proud to welcome an incredible lineup of clubs whose athletes helped make the camp such a high-level and inspiring event. Represented on the mats were NTC, Total, 5 Lions, Creative Ways, Dorset, Bluewave, Kanghan, and Ali Dojang. Bringing together such a strong collection of clubs created a truly elite training environment, with athletes pushing one another, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the unforgettable atmosphere of the day.
